hows the inbuilt mic performance? is it noisy at all?

I'm having issues trying to decide which to get!

I like the mic. Haven't noticed any extra noise added.

I've used my H2 with great success to record 4-way (!) ambiences in and around Copenhagen. It's fucking great. My mate also recorded him taking off in a flight from Copenhagen to Belgium - you can hear people chatting around him, and they're totally isolated, so you can "zone in" on each conversation, so rad :hail:

if you're really slick you could probably catch a hot broad taking a piss on tape. it's not the same as video but still very titilizing. is titilizing a word? oh well even if it isn't it has the word tit in it so i think i'll keep it in my vocabulary.

It was a temporary quad rig. Absolutely nothing fancy.
Software was maxMSP.

my DAW has surround (Sonar), i imagine you just split the files to stereo pairs and line them up? still have no way to play surround, but we might be fixing that by xmas...

IIRC it records to two stereo files - then it's just drag and drop - most DAWs can handle bussing to external outputs like that.
