This information will find its way to the website and other resources soon. Modules not in this list will be measured soon - I've moved my test equipment to a different room and haven't put the modules onto that power supply yet.

These measurements assume "typical" use with some of the I/O patched up and many of the LEDs lit. Maximum current draw may be slightly higher. All measurements in mA.


Hertz Donut mk2: +98, -35
Piston Honda mk2: +105, -33
Tyme Sefari mk2: +36, -46
Zorlon Cannon mk2: +90, -20
Polivoks VCO: +48, -53
Polivoks VCF: +11, -10
Polivoks VCA/ADSR: +32, -32
Polivoks Modulator: +30, -30
Lider Suboctave: +10, -24

Safe to assume these are approximately "maximum load" type of patches?
i.e., "worst-case scenario" current draw?

I did a back of envelope calculation for Kermit in another thread. Can't recall where...

I did some consumption readings on a few of the modules not listed thus far.
The Governor okayed me to publish my findings here.

The +12V readings are important one's so i used a Fluke 175 for this reading.
I applied as much positive CV to practically all CV inputs and had LED's/Modes at their most consuming to get the max +12V power draw.

I've rounded figures to the nearest mA or so.

Double Andore MK2: +150, -80
Malgorithm MK2: +140, -20 (All LED's ON) +110, -20 (ALL LED's OFF)
Kermit: +90, -30
Bionic Lester: +70, -50

The aul ghetto test setup...

Fookin' brilliant. Did you notice any change based on load on the outputs? ie using stackables and sending the outs to multiple modules?

Didn't test that, but there shouldn't be any difference in theory as the audio inputs & outputs are in essence "always on" as opposed to the CV inputs.

1 output multiplied will also just have a voltage reduction and shouldn't impact current in anyway.

Maybe my curiosity for fan-out is for modules in general, but specifically for "my first diy build" modules.

Can you detail the Fluke connection?
Ammeter clamp? Or placed in series?
