10th December 2015 - version 3.1:

* Fixed menus not traversing correctly when turning the encoder.
* Pressing Z now cancels any menu.
* Prevented knob recorder playback from stopping immediately if the knob is being turned as it's released.
* Pressing Z in the Sample & Hold algorithm now triggers a manual sample.
* Added a tape length parameter to the Tape Delay algorithm.
* Added check for corrupt calibration data at startup.
* Added check for invalid calibration data before writing calibration to flash.

Installation went flawlessly. It might be an astute idea to add the link to firmware updates here:

the new firmware working great for me!
i used 3v out from a second disting's precision adder to calibrate it.
i did have to do the calibration about 4 or 5 times for it to calibrate correctly from some reason. the precision adder on the newly updated one output a voltage slightly above zero (just enough that it would change the pitch of an oscillator noticeably) when it was supposed to be zero, but i repeated the calibration process a couple more times and got it working good now.

Good to hear, thanks.

Update was super fast and made me want to buy another 2 Disting modules!!

hi os!

any idea when we can expect some new stuff for the disting??

thanks,
os
I'm showing some new stuff at NAMM, to be released straight after.

so exciting!!
Aptamusic
Yes! Well excited for this.

***New features include
- a clockable ping pong delay effect.
- 10 envelope generator algorithms, including clockable envelopes, dual envelopes and combined envelopes/VCAs.
- quantised and unquantized random voltage generators.
- random trigger generators.

We’ll also be showing an experimental new firmware version that allows WAV file playback from the MicroSD card slot normally used for firmware updates.***

Yes yes yes!! Gimme now please!!

So excited for this update! grin

I found a bug while testing at NAMM, which I need to fix. Still expecting to release very soon.

Version 3.2 is released.

* Added clockable ping pong delays, envelope generators and shift register random algorithms.
* Fixed save/restore of parameters over a power cycle.

Any update on the sample playback from SD card option?

Got mine today! Gonna try upping to 3.2 tomorrow it shipped 3.1 apparently. I have one question/request- please add or help me hack the code to add a parameter to the pitch/envelope tracker to gain up the envelope. I can get good tracking from line level input signal but the envelope is so way low that it is unusable without preamping. I don't have a dedicated preamp and Clouds seems like an expensive gain stage. If this is not possible I'll get sdiy cracking for a small/decent line- modular system
os
Good suggestion - I'll put that on the list for addition.
