Already had it for a while. Mike was great sending me them across some time ago now. I've had loads of fun with it. The quality is amazing both in parts and sound. Very very good.

Available for preorder. Where?
Probably I'm blind and stupid again. Or too late...
But I could be pretty interested if price is decent.

It goes by the codename birdkids 42HP.. your retailer will be able to pre-order via ALEX4, it's our distribution company wink

We simply can't do a huge 500pcs batch right away, so preferrably not too much advertisement in the shops - for those in the know if you catch my drift cool

The manufacturing process is now entirely in Vienna, Austria - which means smaller runs, but even higher quality control and best possible materials.

Any info on pricing? I'm having a hard time finding enough space for bataleur + expander in my normal modular rig, and i'd love a small dedicated skiff.

Sounds like a good plan! thumbs up

Though we're not setting the pricing, it will probably be just below 1000 including the case.

Filter had a lovely vintage tone from the youtube video.

Got so many Moog sounding things at the moment though.

Glad you liked it smile
I feel you! Personally when it comes to Moog I adore the AJH stuff, Alan's the real deal.. thumbs up

To be perfectly clear - we DO NOT build moog-imitating vcos, the UJT approach is inspired (I'm using the word inspired in the sense of "Picasso was inspired by Braque...", here) by the original 901 AB, but TheBateleur VCO is an entirely different beast and has a signature sound of its own. Rockin' Banana!

I highly recommend the Bateleur VCO/VCF combo. Impossible for it to sound bad, and the build quality is top notch. Can't wait to get some more modules from birdkids. we're not worthy That 42hp system looks the business.

proper demos coming up on our youtube channel and website very soon.

This definitely looks and sounds like a great little system, and the usb powered portability is a great idea. Is there a headphone out on this thing? Or some sort of connection that could facilitate that?

Thank you sir! There's a headphone out indeed.. the mk2 expander (specifically designed for the upcoming system) will feature a headphone out + dedicated volume control.
