EDIT: Renamed the thread to reflect different usage. Have been making a few threads in the subforum so figured I would aggregate all posts further into this one place.

Been watching a lot of WWII documentaries recently and was inspired to make something that tries to capture the great sadness that I feel when looking back over what happened in the war.

Due to my soundcloud time being up, you can listen to the track at this link on my website: http://crabsnake.ninja/music/SynthMixes/bellsOverNormandy.wav

Have been trying to explore the tELHARMONIC quite a lot and have done a few tunes which I enjoy, they can be listened to on my (shitty) website here:

http://crabsnake.ninja/music/SynthMixes/alienBanger.wav
^Tried to make a dance-eqsue song with the tELHARMONIC as the main sound source.

http://crabsnake.ninja/music/SynthMixes/strangeTravels.wav
^Tried using the Wogglebug's stepped output as the pitch sequencer for the tELHAMONIC and the quantized sequence output of the Octone to make predictable timbral changes

http://crabsnake.ninja/music/SynthMixes/stutterShift.wav
^Tried to focus on doing rhythmically interesting percussive stuff with this one. Percussion coming from tELHARMONIC and Translatron.

A quick wiggle around with the skiff while I was testing out the new Lumen Video Synth software:

Managed to clean my Soundcloud up a bit

Just picked up the BLM Asteroid Operator VCF. Wanted to make something someone might be able to dance to hihi

Just a little bit of weekend jamming. I got a bunch of new modules yesterday so was very excited to wiggle around today.

Trying to incorporate a bit of guitar playing into something that goes in a slightly different direction.

Past The Outer Rim

Cowboy Drone

Attempting a Krell patch:

Some experimentation with the Piston Honda mkII and the tELHARMONIC. w00t

Space Klang

Sunset of The Damned

Just got the A-156 and trying to mess around a bit with harmonic minor.

Lately I have been focusing pretty exclusively on (somewhat) generative music and using the modular as an instrument toward that goal, as I have found that I am quite fond of the process, regardless of the results. I also recently got the Arturia V Collection Plugin Suite so have been using that a lot in conjunction with the modular. The OP-1 is also pretty frequently featured for a number of uses -- usually for small sequence lines, arps., or effects/soundscaping.

With what I've been doing recently, I think I am finally starting to understand the meaning of "You can never have too many VCA's."

Also, going to stop embedding the sound cloud uploads and provide links instead, to keep the page load time down. Will be doing this retroactively to older posts as well.

Arcadia
Something 80's sounding about this to me, probably the pads. Some dissonant stuff going on as well.

Dancing Cascade
Not sure how much I like this one. After seeing a Make Noise video on the topic I tried using the Maths Attenuverters/Sum output + the Tempi's gates to create a sequencer.

Noisy Sea
Experimenting with using interrelated pitch and frequency modulation coming from the same envelope; some noisy textures in the background. Purely modular track.

Arcade Malfunction
Tried to make all of the Oscillators in my system sound like they were digital/chiptune-esque.

Nice. Minimalistic and still involving.

Thank you smile

Trying to use the Tempi Mod input to create gated rhythm in the main sequence. Background noise and digital notes, accompanied by the OP-1 playing a drifting melody. Relaxing music after a long week.

Finally feeling like my (euro)rack is coming together and I am getting to the core of the functionality of my gear -- truly using and understand it.

Just got a few new modules today:

Stillson Hammer mk2
ADE-32 Octocontroller
Bublesound VCA4p
Hertz Donut

Feel like I have a whole different rack, so many more possibilities! Made this little jam while exploring some of the new functionality:

Enjoying the new modules on a sunny Sunday smile

Notes from video:

Patch notes:

ADE-32 Octocontroller is the master clock.

Stillson Hammer mk2 is sequencing everything. The wogglebug's stepped random out is being fed into the CV input (assignable controllers) of the stillson hammer, which is then being used sparingly to randomize some of the nodes in the sequences to create musical variation in each pattern.

The Dixie II+ is going into the Doepfer wasp filter and is the bass voice. The filter is being modulated by the Octocontroller with a sync'd LFO.

The Hertz Donut mkII is the main melodic voice, with the primary and modulation oscillator outputs being sent to the Optomix. The primary oscillator is being FM modulated by the octocontroller to create some light vibrato. The vibrato is faded in and out by another VCA (bubblesound VCA4p). The modulation oscillator is modulating amplitude and wavefolding (discontinuity) on the primary -- the level of modulation is being controlled by a synced LFO from the octocontroller.

The Doepfer a-110-4 and the Piston Honda mkII are being used for something like chord stabs. The A-110-4 is tuned a 3rd up from the Piston Honda. The A-110-4 is going into the WMD Ultrafold whose Fold param is being 'ducked' by using an inverted envelope from the Double Andore mkII. The Piston Honda's X and Y banks are being modulated by S&H CV outs on the Octocontroller.

Relaxed Friday evening jam featuring some Rick and Morty samples.

A little bit of Eurorack, VSTs, and the OP-1.

Working some guitar playing back into the Eurojams.

Also features some (IMHO) pretty convincing Optomix LPG Bongos.
