Suitcase synth airplane/flying advice

Post by greedmink » Fri Sep 05, 2008 1:57 am

What's the latest?... Anyone fly with their synth and/or suitcase synth a lot?

The "ATA" style case of my A100 seems fine until i think i might have to check it.

Maybe i should spring for a real flight case for my micromoog and just travel with that?

I don't see tons of helpful info online but did read some mixed experiences travelling with the a100. any thoughts?

Depending upon the size of the instrument, the FAA allows you to bring an instrument onboard an aircraft. I bring an electric guitar, in a gig bag, on airplanes quite often. It goes in the overhead bin.
