That looks like some fun kit. Hope it's DIY then again at Bastl's prices wouldn't be bad either way. :tu:

Looks like a cool little gadget. I think I'll wait for the DIY option though.

Wow! I'm really excited about this one. Seems like there's a ton of internaL patching opportunities + it will gel with my modular :sb:

I added and removed it from my cart 3 times today. I can't afford any gear at the moment but that looks so sweet.

Sounds like Peter Edward's has learned from tinkering with the benjolin over the last few years. Seems kind of like an evolution on that but given a different sort of musical and interactive context.

Always loved the Casper electronics stuff, excited to see this out there.

Looks and sounds like a lot of fun. Seems like a lot of creative options for such a small device.

Pretty sure those are ""dupont" cables used for patching breadbords and and Arduinos, tiny but cheap enough

Bitranger

Post by mbleming » Sat May 28, 2016 11:06 am

Got mine yesterday direct from Bastl...shipping was super fast. It's a ton of fun, noisy as hell...I'm still not entirely sure what I'm doing with it, hopefully the manual will be uploaded soon. Perfect for lunchtime jams at work, I love these kinds of small patchable noise boxes. The shipping slip enclosed mentions a number of expansion modules slated for the future...really cool device!

Is that the only way to get them right now? Haven't seen it for sale anywhere. How much was the shipping? I think I'm going to get me one of these.

I think the BAstl press release mentions availability via Detective Squad in NYC, but I don't see anything there...so I ordered direct. Shipping was insanely fast via FedEx, total shipped was $282. I'm having a ton of fun with mine...I've been wanting a portable noise box like this for awhile, so this fits the bill perfectly. It can be patched for some INSANE noise, or funky little patterns, or both... wildly changeable with the flick of a switch. Super cool little device!

This would be cool to use with the new Anywhere Instruments Minisizer or the Sound Machines Nanosynth NS1.

This will be cool to see all these add ons for the bitRanger. This one looks like a sequencer, but the labeling has me thinking otherwise.

Exactly my thought! The (most probably) awesome analog sounds of the Minisizer will go together really well with the bitRanger for crazy modulation and additional sounds. :sb:

It's actually a passive on/off button matrix. So it's like a keyboard you can use to "play" your bitRanger patch, by turning signals on and off.

By the way, how many patch cables did it ship with?
