Author Dreadbox Abyss polyphonic synth
Jason Brock
This was teased a few months ago with just a schematic pic, but now there's a small portion of the panel graphics. The Erebus is a great sounding mono, so I'm eager to hear the Abyss.

Edit 2017:

Holy shit! Dreadbox is my favorite so this is extremely exciting!
Hirsbro
hyper VERY interesting
thisisprisma
what software is that to do the schematic?
Huba-Swift
Nick at sonicstate did a 5 min pre-Namm live-stream, and quickly showed the Abyss, the color scheme was black and blue and it seems to be a 4 voice polyphonic desktop synth. Should have taken a screenshot when I had the chance. Nevertheless, it looks like it's gonna be good thumbs up

Looks good. Thanks for the spec, trinithis.

Need to know what's on the back panel. I don't expect Dreadbox would omit CV/gate, but confirmation required.
MrTurboparrot
I really like this Dreadbox guy (s)...

CV interface-able 4 voice polysynth?! Damn yes.

Likely to be pricier than minilogue though cry
Hirsbro
Just one VCO per voice? confused
Isaiah
Looks like there is a dedicated LFO for PWM.

I love these folk's design philosophy. I am not sure 1 VCO/voice is going to be adequate, but I love those giant knobs!
unexpectedbowtie
I'm curious to see if there's any CV control since the semi-modular panel from the Erebus et al on the top is gone.

and one for vibrato!

and then you have 2 extra and more featured LFOs for filter and fx!

about CV...mmm...I donĀ“t think this synth would have it, maybe for cutoff only

sadly the demo is crap, but I expect a beautiful sounding synth...ugly as hell though...this guy needs advice on graphic design
Shufflehound
I think it looks great. Love the blue and rounded rectangles, tho grey's a bit iffy and never that keen on sliders (since once they're gone, it's hell to find a replacement) but the knobs are great. No patching though?

Same here. Can't wait to hear more demos, because the one above was just frustrating.

another video/demo with Nick from SonicState

the Dreadbox guy have amazing synthmaking skills but fails as showing his own products... Dead Banana

estimated production date in about 45 days and with a price of 1100 Euros
this synth seems to be my next poly love love love

unexpectedbowtie
That SonicState video is way better. It looks pretty great... 1000GBP is about what I expected. Out of my financial range for the next year at least sadly.
Shufflehound
Now all we have to look forward to is Nick's review of it!
