Making drone with feedback loops

Is it possible to make non-harsh, more ambient style drone with feedback loops and pedals and such, in vein of Pedestrian Deposit, Alleypisser, Damien Dubrovnik?
Basically how is that style sound achieved?
noizehack
if you run harsh noise loops through low pass filters or lots of reverb they sound more like ambient drone sounds and less harsh.

Feedback loops create such a range of sounds... There is definitely relatively mellow drone to be had in there. I agree with Noizehack that lpfs are your friend, but it's also a matter of determining what kinds of sounds your rig can do, and going after the ones you want.

Shameless self promotion: this jam has a lot of drone in it, along with harsher bits: https://youtu.be/P8RE12RIb8c Signal chain is in the video description.
