Ambient modular live show at Noise.Berlin

Post by flx » Sun Dec 11, 2016 8:27 am

VLK and I played an experimental live show at NoiseBerlin last weekend.

We brought our modulars and some other bits of gear and played a set around vocal samples, which we gathered from the participants of my recent 15k subscriber giveaway.

Modulargrid links to our setups:

Other than that, VLK used a Korg SQ1 sequencer, an Eventide H9 and an external mixer and I've had my MicroGranny 2, OP1 and Dirty Electronics Mute Synth with me.

The vocal samples were mainly played and mangled with three Bastl Instruments GrandPa modules and a Qu-bit Nebulae. I also had a few of the longer samples running on the MicroGranny 2 every now and then.

After the giveaway and the live show were done, we uploaded a sample pack of all vocal samples for anyone to use under the Public Domain license. Download it here and enjoy :D

Thanks! The sample thing worked out pretty well indeed. Had a good number of submissions with lots of variety :)
