Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
Hi when I look at the system information on my ES-8 it shows that it is on 1.0.1. Based on the information here and on the website 1.1.0 is the latest however when I go to use the update utility it shows that there are no suitable devices connected. How can I update to the latest firmware?

Same as me. I just downloaded from

and it works.
Can you post screenshots?

It shows up in system information but this is what it shows in the updater app.
Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
Is the ES-8 connected directly or via a hub?

Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
I've connected it both directly and through a hub and the results are the same.
Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
Could you do Cmd+I on the updater tool and send me a screenshot?

Hey Os,
I've just been trying to run the 1.1 firmware updater linked to above but it crashes on launch.
I have tried it on two different macbooks, on two different versions of macOS, with the same result.
I've got no idea if the fix will be on my end or yours but either way your help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
Do you actually need to run it? There hasn't been an ES-8 produced with 1.0.0 firmware for 4 years now.
Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
Yes, I believe so. In system information it reads "Version: 1.01"
Re: ES-8 firmware announcement thread
The quickest solution would probably be for you to install libusb.
