This is a big patch! It's also more along the lines of what I set out to do when making patches with this structure, utilizing only the modular.
I see room for improvement but i like this small step!
click the picture, which i updated based on cat-a-tonic's neat palindrome suggestion!

I like the direction you're going in with this: minimal on top with shifting complexity of beats underneath like a soft, warm, electronic crib.
The glitchy folds near the end are a nice touch.
The photo is really cool too!
It might make a nice palindrome if mirrored.

Thanks, guys, for listening, and for your feedback.

Yeah, I was playing with the picture a bit before I posted it but went for the unaltered approach. I'll try what you suggested...

Digging it. :sb:
One thought would be about the kick/click sound.
It starts off sounding a bit too much like a metronome, almost
detracting from the complexity of the other elements going on.
Maybe if it was bassier, or halved/quartered at times?

Good suggestion, thanks. That's something I will work on.

At last, someone doing some "proper tracks" with the Serge. Yeah, the abstract/avant-garde stuff I've heard is nice, but it's good to hear that the Serge gear is definitely capable of doing "proper" songs like this.

Thanks.

Well, I personally have a couple approaches to patch-making and performing on my modular that draw me to one side or the other, constantly. One is to patch some kind of all-in-one techno instrument and the other is to create a seething, breathing drone and noise monster.

this is a brilliant track! Any chance of a downloadable? It'd make a great on-the-train track for me :)

Thank you very much!

I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier. This confirms that I don't always get
notified when I subscribe to a thread.

Yeah, I'll figure out how to enable downloads for some of the tracks.

Also, I'm posting a slightly different version to go with this one, now.

I am using this as my desktop background now.
It looks cool either tiled or stretched.
