Author Korg contact mic CM-200 for noise

Is there any opinions about the use of a korg contact mic CM-200 attached to a piece of junk metal for amplification?

I wonder about the frequency response because the shape of the mic Is not a piezo disk but a clip.

Any options or experiences with it will be apreciated

Thanks

could be cool, only way to know for sure is to try it out

Because of the clip it kills any sustain and thus the 'metallic' sound. I just tried it on a round piece of stainless mounted on a cymbal stand into a small Fender amp. Good percussive SPK type of sound, but no sizzle or sustain. I think you might be better off with a tape mounted contact microphone.

The Korg is super useful for a lot of things though. They are pretty low priced and worth having around.
