This is cool, just a long sample with slow clock?

Here's a mellow groove I whipped up this evening, using the Morphagene sort of in the background for the most part... it takes some discipline to keep the module from jumping out front-and-center! The sample is some public domain recordings of a Bach keyboard piece, and serves to make some plucked chords and the occasional wash of ambient bliss.

hi everyone,

first post here! used the morphagene to mess up some piano loops, got some really interesting results! couldn't help but program some audioreactive visuals.

still a noob in modular and even more on the morphagene so please critique!

bloodsample
Experimental sound design using the Morphagene. I loaded a bunch of ambient sounds (vocals, bird calls, hand saws, etc). Over time it gets weirder and weirder to the point where it started to sound like a bird call from a rare alien cyborg species in a sci fi film.

My critique is that that sounds really fucking good.

I'm turning into a serial poster on this thread. I'm just in a Morphagene groove atm.

Here is my first foray into the wild world of time lag accumulation. It made the solitary sound of the DPO sound extraordinarily rich. With a layer of reverb, you have instant ambient goodness!

JonathanBedrava
That's pretty nifty! What are you using for the audioreactive visuals? It fit the composition quite nicely.

This track features Morphagene quite a bit. Throughout most of the tune there is a pluck/string-like melody that is made with MI Rings, the Morphagene samples, chops and transposes these sounds and creates kind of a counter-melody. As it fades in and out, it gets more or less dominant but it is there pretty much the whole time.

This is the best Morphagene-centered track I have heard to date. Bravo.

Oh, wow. Thanks for the kind words. Super glad you like it.

I have to agree with Bob Corr. Room is nuts good, boboter. If the rest of your upcoming album matches the elegance of that track, we've got a lot to look forward to.

Thank you so much. The positive feedback makes me really happy.
The tape edition of the album should arrive next week, so it won't be too long until you can check out the rest of it. Also, I used the Morohagene in 9 of the 10 tracks.

Here's a patch I made based on some Dulcitone I played in (from the awesome sound dust plug-in)

Morphagene gene size being controlled by LFO from Mother 32 ..

I've been getting some really lovely results with delicate use of the Morph parameter. Here it is used to create and expand a choir.

This sounds really good. The morph parameter is really great for adding sublte layers. Totally love that function.

Thanks guys for the nice words, it really warms my heart! Hopefully I'll get back to it again after the summer. Way to lazy right now to patch anything good.

The Old Man; the video is a collage of some different things actually. There's some Jitter patches blended with other things in after effects, with bass, middle and high frequencies controlling different parameters. It's really just another way of patching It's peanut butter jelly time!

Made this mainly with a short snippet of the infamous "Just You and I" song from Season 2 of Twin Peaks, with assistance from the Phonogene (essentially taking a short section of the Morphagene output for further manipulation), and some Rings.
