hey guys. does anyone have this module....and would you mind posting some clips? i can't seem to find any examples anywhere.

i'm specifically interested in using complex (external audio) signals...not rectangle signals (like the manual recommends).

what are your opinions of the module?

thanks much!
wetterberg
I believe it works in the same way an oldskool octave pedal works.

I had one before it decided to die in fantastic form

Just to let you know its a CLOCK divider. As in its expecting a square signal. No matter what you put in, you will get a square out.

You'd be happier with an A115 I think. I have that to and its pretty cool and is designed for audio.

I have an A-115, I'll see about posting some exaples later.

yeah, the a115 looks nice. can't find any sound examples anywhere though. i'd love to hear both of these in action.

is there an audio divider with vc out there in modular land?

thanks.

uhm, the 163 *is* a vc controlled divider....
Please explain to me. I be dummy

uhm, well at least you're not being condescending meh

from dingleberry's post i thought that they were different beasts (ie the frequency divider wasn't, neccessarily, meant for audio, but the audio divider was.) now that i've read through the manual of the a115 i see that it's output will be squared too.

hey dingleberry, was there a difference in sound between the two? thanks!

i really wish doepfer would include sound examples for all of the modules very frustrating

nah, I was genuinely being confused... I didn't understand, and maybe there was a distinction between one type or the other. I'm sorry if it came across the wrong way...

def, I didnt use the clock divider on audio very much, since you basically got the same output every time no matter what you put in. It was pretty predictable and boring imho.

It did have a pretty cool sub osc sound at times, but again I didnt really like what I got out. Hard to explain why. d'oh!

the audio divider is pretty cool. Also gives a nice sub out signal like before, but it seems to track the wave shape better. You put in a sine, it sounds like you get a sine out. (or actually 2, or 3 etc ) smile
