Since the whole "analogue" revival this is the first time I have heard a synth and just thought it sounds as good as the best vintage synths.

If preorders were available for US folks I'd be on the list. I'd love to compare booty size side by side with my memorymoog.

Lacking the third oscillator per voice is a big difference. :(

Yep,and he ignored the suggestion to add a third one!

Overpriced synth imo.

Sounds great, so who cares. I don't think poly synths need to have three oscillators per voice.

Sounds better than the Moog One

Far better. I really think that there will be a lot of buyer's remorse on the part of people who have sold off a bunch of stuff to fund one of those. The Baloran demos have so much more weight to the sound, and a much more beautiful filter tone.
calaveras
for all your Balearic Beats.

What I heard from demos I could find was superb.
Definately shall follow this project.
That sound is there... )

I agree, for the last month you couldn’t find a deckards dream used anywhere, then the Moog One comes and 4 of them pop up cheap within 2 days and I just scored a DD for under 3k I’m so stoked and was about to buy one new.

Everything from Moog once they made the slim phatty has sounded the same and the One just sounds like a bunch of tricked out slim/sub phatty voices to me, pass....
Panason
The Moogone has got that juicy new SVF filter so it will sound more interesting. It sounds amazing in fact, but I would buy a campervan instead.

Lots of activity at GS about this one. I still don't get it. Very exclusive price for what amounts to just another 2VCO 8-voice poly with some better routing, a great chorus and multitimbrality.

Also, no real support stateside on such a complex instrument is daunting...

I don't think price should really be a consideration. Studio Electronics stuff is equally expensive but without a keyboard, and I never really hear complaints about the price.

It may be

but man do those demos sound astonishingly epic.

And compared to any dual VCO 8 voice poly that doesn't say DSI or Korg, the price seems pretty decent.

Moog One put this in a new light, methinks. It seemed so very expensive when it was announced and now it seems like a bit of a bargain. grin
