ask michael ford, he's a very friendly fellow, and is still advertising it on his website, so i presume it's still available.

He made one for me last year. I'd be pretty surprised if he stopped. Also IT FUCKIN RULES. Buy one, buy one, buy one

Well I ordered one. They are $400, 4-6 week lead time. How are the other drum modules like the 8008 and dual drum?

the 8008 is just insane. 10V of 808 kick. kicks like a mule. can't rate it highly enough. jaw droppingly good.

never tried any of the others unfortunately.

They are both fantastic. MetalBox has excellent build quality.

I've listened to the 8008 at Babaluma's place and was very impressed
(but I have an MBase11 which is also very nice).

I have a 1FU MetalBox DualDrum, and a 2FU DIY DualDrum with resonance controls brought out to the front panel.
You *might* discuss customizations of the dual drum with MetalBox.
I know he has done one for Muff.
I personally use the resonance much more frequently than the timbre.
The resonance is more something that you want to set up for the sound you want in each track,
whereas the timbre is something you might tweak throughout a track to get subtle variations.
Whether or not these customizations are worth extra panel space is for you to decide.
Ask Muff if he uses the extra controls on his.

You will like it, very cool module, lots of different timbre's possible. Surprisingly deep though, just something to keep in mind if you don't have a frac/blacet rack. It fits in those just fine.
