Connecting multiple ES-3s & ES-6s (or ES-8s) to an ES-8

I'd like to expand the I/O on my ES-8.

I would like to add 6-12 audio/cv inputs and at least 16 outputs. So my question is can I daisy chain more than one ES-6 & ES-3 and have everything clocked from the ES-8 (the ES-6 manual says it requires an ES-3 for clock but I imagine the ES-8 will work just fine)? Or maybe daisy chain 2 ES-8s and one ES-3 and ES-6?

I know you probably can't really daisy chain ADAT devices in this manner but maybe there is a way using a combination of ADAT and the ES-8 expansion headers? If not, is there another solution for what I want?

The most you can get from one ES-8 is 12 in (add ES-6/7) and 16 out (add ES-3).

I believe people have successfully used two ES-8s by Aggregating them in the OS.
