preamp modules

Post by 22tape » Sat Oct 11, 2008 1:09 am

hey guys. besides the doepfer A-119 External Input / Envelope Follower, what are my other options for eurorack preamp modules? my sampler's signal needs some beefing up. it'd be nice to have 1/4 jack inputs on the module too.

thanks!

someone needs to make a nice pre for the euro format, I suppose the +-12v may be the limiting factor, at least limiting the headroom. Regardless, couldn't a fairly nice pre with xformers be made for Euro?

what's the headroom of the ap-1? doesn't look like it uses transformers either. I was thinking something for euro along the lines of The Juggernaut

ya, i really only need 1 or 2 ins...just to boost the mono/stereo signal from my sampler...so the simpler/smaller the better....

i'm hoping the c-labs 7802 will beef it all up on the cheap! no env follower or shit that's modular specific:

the 7602's are fantastic with modulars! makes it all thick and syrupy!

And of course you would need two for stereo.
