258V Pots

I recently purchased a used 258V. It's the first version with the PCB-mounted potentiometers. I love how that thing sounds, but I'm not really happy with the wobbly knobs.

So I'd like to change (or better let someone do it for me) the potentiometers, but I couldn't find out what values (50K, 100K, ...) have been used by Mark Verbos.

Does anyone already did that and knows the values?

Thanks!
APETECHNOLOGY
hello the values should be marked on the potentiometer.
or cut out old ones and measure the 2 outside pins.
most likely the pots you seek are 9mm vertical mount
like this...

hope this helps!
thumbs up

thanks!

This is for the J3rk version, but as far as I understand - that version is based of the Verbos one, so these should be correct.

all pots are 10k Lin.,the fine tune is 50kLin.

they look like alps here - maybe panasonic? and yeah - them things do wobble...

iirc the resistance isn't critical on a 258 10k-100k should work. using the right taper (lin/log) in the right places seems to be more important.

The FM pot(s) should be an audio taper type.

thanks you all!

if i got it right it is:

1 100K Audio
2 100K Linear
3 100K Linear
4 Center Detent 100K Linear (50K?)
5 Center Detent 100K Linear (50K?)

Not so sure about the Center Detent Value. Is this ±100K, so actually a range of 200K, so if I take a ±50K, I've got a range of 100K?
