First there was Todd's SoundPlex
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TblTMJbvdPo

Then we see the the wonderful easel expander that adds a dusg

I remember that I once saw what I think twas some kind of serge slope generator in buchla format via vedicscapes. Does anyone have one of those, or even a pic so start ideas for a good panel layout

Lots of great stuff is making its way into buchla why not put this on list?

a 1u quadslope would be a total competitor to an hseries

What do you think?
cyberdine
Yes! I got one recently from indexofmetals on BST - he had two for sale, I picked up one.

It's great. So far I've only been really using it as an envelope generator but I'm going to get some banana to tinijax converters so I can try it as an osc.

"Hell god baby damn yes"

Still, Peake, I love the 281r you built me (next to it) more...
diophantine
Wow, is that even legal? hihi Very cool.

If possible, it might be nice to replace the Bipolar outputs with tinijax jacks. IIRC, Buchla CV values are all non-negative, so the Bipolar banana jacks probably aren't really that useful, I'd think.

Definitely - that would be a great mod.
Cobramatic
Looks great - but has it been converted to Buchla standards?
Looks like it is 1v/octave on the input and has a Bi-polar output.

There have been other posts about the negative voltage from a bipolar output being dangerous to 200e modules in particular - so would be good to be very careful about that.

Any one had problems in this regard?
cyberdine
I've not tried the bipolar output, for the reason you give that the Buchla system isn't really bipolar. As for the 1v/oct input, not tried that either yet. Need some banana to tinijax converters to give it a spin.
vgermuse
Definitely try some patching within one module!
Output to VC In and explore knobs and switches.
and cross modulate each module w00t
TMortigan
OMG I would like to hear it in action!

Agreed, this is very interesting; do you have any ideas how you would make it handle audio input as well as control voltages (an extension of the questions people have already asked about differentiating outputs, I suppose)?

I was thinking I could use a tinijax to banana converter, assuming I can find such a thing for sale.

I use Low Gain's UTL-1 for $89. http://lowgain-audio.com/

This was a one-off, and is certainly more expensive, but I enthusiastically endorse dropping the extra coin for some on/off/momentary switches between the ins and outs. You'll get so much more out of it than cable conversion:
