Hi there,

I made a module with an Opl3 music synthesizer chip (YMF262) but it is playing sounds with only two operator instrument files and I would like to have it playing four operand instruments.
What I cant find is a four operand music file and a description of the construction of this file: which part of the file goes to which register at a given instrument.

Is there anybody who could help me out?
My module can be seen at https://youtu.be/-WvVVEAcwWw

thanks!

To be clear about it: I'm NOT looking for software and it will NOT be a commercial product, I just need one (at least) four operand general midi instrument file and a similar file format explanation like: http://www.shikadi.net/moddingwiki/SBI_Format for the SBI format which b.t.w. is a two operand format.

This?
CMF Format
and
Creative Music Format (CMF)

The SBI Format (SoundBlaster Instrument) is the same as used in the CMF instrument block, with a header on the front.

So... no, but thanks for your time.

Midibox
has a YMF262 based project. Perhaps you find help there...

After placing that demo on Youtube, I got the next message:
Quote:
Your video "OPL3 instruments on a diy synthesizer, YMF262 controlled by an Arduino", may have content that is owned or licensed by ACUM_CS, but it’s still available on YouTube! In some cases, ads may appear next to it.

If this is your performance of a 3rd party song then you can still make money from this video. Click here to change your monetization settings.

Now, I have made the module myself and the played music is from J.S.Bach, so that is in the public domain.
What this company ACUM=CS is trying to do is, because my youtube acount is suitable to make money with (which I don’t do), that if I don’t dispute this claim from ACUM=CS they will get part of the money that I would earn with that demo.
So I filed a complain, and now wait what will happen....
