Sony PVM inputs |

br>Hi all, I have a Sony PVM-2950Q. It works fine with S video but not with composite. With the latter, the image, when it is visible, seems completely desaturated. Any ideas? br> br> |

br>Maybe composite doesn’t function the way I’d expect it? Just wondering. br> br> |

br>Are you sure you connected the composite cable to the right input? br> br> |

br>I am. Either there is something wrong with the composite inputs or they use some kind of other connection. Everything is fine with component. br> br> |

br>Did you try wiggling it?
Sounds like a bad jack. How about the S-video does that work okay? br> br> |

br>S video works. The problem with it being bad jacks (yes did try wiggling) is that it's not just that one input, it's all of them. Oh well, component is better and looks stellar. Guess that's that. br> br> |

br>It doesn’t have anything to do with PAL unfortunately.
The component video and S video inputs work fine. I think there is just something fried in this thirty year old monitor. It’s a small loss, especially since it’s better to use component anyway. br> br> |

br>Thanks for the update. br> br> |

br>On a related note, the monitor makes a high pitched whine I can’t detect (hearing loss above 12500) but my daughter can and she hates it. What is that? Fly back transformer? br> br> |
