Catalinbread SFT overdrive

Post by Jason Brock » Thu Oct 05, 2017 2:44 pm

I've had this for a couple of weeks and it's my new favorite overdrive. Anyone else using one? It's supposed to emulate old Ampeg SVT amps, though I've never played one of those so I don't know how close it gets, but it sounds great to me. At higher gain settings, instead of sounding like a fuzzy mess it just starts turning every note into a more "pure" synth-like waveform - at least that's how I would describe it.

If you're into circuits there is a thread with the schematic for this on
freestompboxes.org

Looks cool, lots of Jfets!
