I have used my ES-3/5 combo for years almost exclusively as a means of getting reliable MIDI clock out of my computer. Today, I tried using the ES-5 to output a simple 1 ppqn clock pulse.

MIDI out works fine. Outputting the clock from the ES-3 works fine. My interface is an RME Fireface UC. What am I doing wrong?

If SW Sync is in ES-5 mode, select ‘gates 1/1’ Etc for its outputs. Then you don’t need to pass it through an ES-5 Controller.

Ah, got it. I wasn't setting the correct output. I thought setting the Sync plugin to ES-5 mode and routing through the ES-5 controller would do the trick. Thanks, os!
