Author Discount tips ( october 2017 and after.....) VST / FX
Funky40
please post your discount tipps for the coming months.
please Software that is worth it in your opinion
please with some little comments !

for example have i a few FX which have been ,-for me-, worth the price at a discount ,
but would have not really been at its regular price.
Funky40
why i post:

just stumbled by accident over this:

INA-GRM: the big bundle: 299$ / vs. 599$ ( i got mine on sale for something like 450€ or so. 299$ is ridiculously low IMO.
edit3: sorry, forgot the link: http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=70&produc ts_id=800

i have it, i use it !
honestly: i use allways the same few ! never checked them all thouroughly enough.
its TOTALLY for experimental music, also ambients.
there is a "superslider"(on the ones i use). ofcourse CC mappable. you can slide/morph with that one thru 16 presets. (saving presets is supersimpel once you know how wink )
Superuseful ! makes a HUGE difference if using the INA-GRMs with vs. without that preset morph !!!
( just that i sometimes get crashes when using that superslider / OSX 10.11, Live9 )
is it worth it ? even for the few ones i normally use, the 299$ would be totally worth it for me !

ahh, edit: requires iLok ! 1 license only ! ( edit2, to make it unmisunderstanable: no iLok dongle required, just the iLok software )
mt3
Was going to mention INA-GRM...
I'll pick up Evolution probably. FYI: iLok is software version, not hardware dongle.

Soundmorph has 30% off right now.
Dust, Wave Warper, and Evil Twin are nice.

I´m much interested in the software pack ( with that 30% off, otherwise not), just: adding it to cart isn´t showing any 30% discount at checkout.
is a coupon code needed ? or what else to check ?
( i like the vids of these three you mentioned )
mt3
HS2017 at checkout.
Ends Oct 31!
Funky40
mt3, thank you ! went for it

time will tell if i really use it or not..............

Sonnox plugins are 50% off during November. (I got an additional discount at dontcrack.com Native elite bundle for about $400 down from the $1000 normal price)

I saw Waves bundles are ridiculously cheap right now, but I'll pass as I just got the Sonnox.

Despite having a hole in my budget I got the creative bundle
Funky40
make shure you work a bit with the superslider. Also just for checking out purposes.
checking a INA-GRM plug without using the superslider can lead to a totally different impression of what a certain FX is capable of.
the difference is more dramatic on some vs. others though.
definitly some of my most loved FX plugs there.
KaOsphere
Plugin Alliance are offering weekly sales atm. Worth a look !

I just got Dent 2 for 14$ using the voucher they sent on november 1st.

Hard to resist ! :p
Funky40
Izotope has also some huge discounts

Tried to find definite info about this on their website to no avail. So there is no way to activate them on two computers? Pretty restrictive by today's standards.

Soundtoys have Little Plate which is free for until 22nd November.

Worth getting as if you want the Soundtoys 5 it counts towards a discounted bundle.

you mixpuzzled the prices , corrected wink

Great! i was hoping for the wormhole.
on sale a welcome buy. otherwise i´d had to refuse.

problem with these for me is the latency ! .....its loading the whole system here, not only the tracks that use these VSTs. ( no clue why or if this is the normal behave)

What's your system specs?
They have Live Mode option.
Funky40
ok FULL OFFTOPIC; (sidediscussion only)

mt3 wrote:

i have Adaptiverb. I use it only in Live mode ! yes

my system is: macmini / i7, quad 2.66Ghz / 8GB Ram
soundcard: NI komplete audio6.
Ableton live9
i run my projects with a Buffer of 1024samples when using adaptiverb

adaptiverb, (and also wormhole IIRC when i demoed it) is not only adding quite some latency to tracks, ...which i could live with .
It also adds a general latency to all my VST instruments. also if i deactivate the adaptiverb.

here my problem lied/lies:
i play mainly piano/Pianoteq !
.......the DAW is then my host to add additional FX and dive into experimenting fields/sounds, based on my piano playing.
Adaptiverd, and also wormhole are very winning for that task, but the increased "general latency" on the Pianotrack is more than a pain.
the FX is btw. not on my Pianotrack, but on parallel tracks, fed from the Pianotrack.
i also allways setup a controller to switch adaptiverb on-off. So its often switched off, .....to free up CPU power to switch on other FX ( M4L devices)

i might have to mail Dennis/ the Cynaptic support directly to see if i can do something.
so far was i under the option that it is how it is.
some other FX causes same "general" latency issues........

Great, loaded my creditcard for today, will get me Wormhole.
much thanks ! funds are really short right now

btw. a Huge shout out for NIs Skanner XT !
its 24.50€ as a sale

awesome piece of shit. i´m mind blown.
Needs some controller/mapping (at least one knob) to get full fun

If anyone notices a Modartt sale, let us know grin I want to grab a few Pianoteq instruments, but I can wait to save a few bucks.
