This looks a bit strange if you dig deeper. I have recently had a couple of strange encounters with people selling synthesizers and since then I am much more careful.

What I don’t like here
- only one picture, for more they want your email adress. Why? pictures are free on eBay and that would certainly be less hassle for the seller
- exactly same auction has ended successfully on Oct 5th
- seller sells a lot of expensive items simultaneously, all ending at exactly the same minute
- at least one other item has also been auctioned off just before. I did not check other items

There are also some oddities with seller location and associated website. Also, the brand field says ‘Studer’.

All in all I doubt that whoever wins (lots of interest!) will actually ever get the Easel. Happy if you prove me wrong. Just be careful out there.
Joe.
Some people dont like to provide pictures because others will steal them and use them for fake auctions.

I'm sure there's easier ways around this, simply including a card in the picture with the seller ID written on it etc.

hmm, there is Paypal as payment option and in the history the user seems to have sold more highish end instruments. the auctions in the history have also little to no info about the item or multiple photo´s

With Paypal covering the buyer there won't be much to win for a dishonest seller...

I agree that it all looks suspicious. Could be a hi-jacked ebay account - seen it before with Easel auctions.

100% scam,see other auctions,Selmer,Neve and Manley

the two last high price sold items = fake winning bidder just to generate confidence.

Now he offer different high end gear to have a wide spread target, its now there will be a victim.

There are plenty of scams like these from Italy and Spain over and over, each time you can find together with a Jupiter-8 or other highly wanted gear a Selmer into it lol

hmm, I live just down the road... so messaged to see if I can go collect (and pay then) , should mitigate the risk, if its a good price.

To anyone discovering strange or no replies from sellers like this, please report the auction to Ebay. Apparently, Ebay is unable to detect scammers without users reporting them

Beware!
I think this listing is fraudulent and I have reported my suspicion to Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/264115562870?ul_noapp=true

It has the exact same characteristics as earlier scams - just saying...

My best guess is that some scammer hi-jacked that ebay account.

My experience is that some members get offended when other members put out a warning like this without proof. My message to you is: don't even bother to tell me how offended you feel about my warning - I am not going to reply.

I was surprised to find last year that Ebay completely IGNORED several reports I made about a clearly fraudulent listing - images found on an old Reverb listing or something (it was for a rack unit, not an easel). I reported the item to them in several ways and still the auction ran its course..

Looking at that listing - well, the image doesn't immediately show up in google image search and the seller has sold a couple of high price items just before Christmas (see Completed Listings). Always good to be cautious - contacting the seller and getting a feel as to whether they're genuine might be helpful in this case.
