What is the best equalizer for feedback noise?

EQ 3 bands (HI ; MID; LOW)

OR

EQ 3 (HI, HI MID, LOW MID, LOW)

I hesitate between these two mixing tables.

Are you trying to subdue noise or enhance it?

Anyway, more control is probably better but something with sweepstake parametric eq is far more 'playable' than basic low/mid/high.

I think your priority should be finding something parametric and with overlapping bands so you can cut and boost the same frequency.

you can also try a simple matrix mixer 4x4, very easy to build and lot of feedback exploration..

also, don't underestimate inserting a graphic eq into your signal chain, there are cheapo pedals and expensive rack mount units and all points in between. oh if i had the time and ability to build all the module ideas i have...

I second the graphic EQ suggestion, especially with noise since you dont have to tune to precise frequencies (graphic eq's are fixed). Try comb filtering one or more channels, if more than one then do an opposite bands with the second one. Try feeding back into the EQ, and also feed forward (dry signal parallel with the EQ'ed). Try delaying the dry signal. All sorts of phasing and flanging effects possible just with a graphic EQ and maybe a delay. Very versatile tool to have.
