FH-1 and my LPD8

Hello,

I have an FH1 running v2.0 firmware with and a single expander attached.

What I've been working on is the ability to have a compact controller be able to setup sequencing for me and/or running of LFOs and/or running of just voltages. As a note: I am looking at Lemur and other software and iPad combos but... I also have the LPD8 and thought it might be interesting to try a few things with it.

What i'd like to do with for this round:
1) Can I use the pads to set triggers on/off for a sequence?
2) I have the 8 rotary dials running the last 8 voltages right now

In the LPD8 app I have the following setup:
1) Pads 1-8 (not working how I might expect - but I suspect i'm missing something)
a) CC# 1-8
b) PC# 15
c) Note# 36-43
2) dials (this works)
a) CC 8-15
b) Low 0
c) high 172
3) when using the LPD8 I put it in “CC” mode on the device.
This does result in the momentary pads turning the voltages on/off but then the sequencer stops running.
I thought it would be nice to be able to set the pads to toggle state.
Have the sequence turned on/off based on the toggle switch.

Does anyone know if this is possible to use pads to do this?

Note: I do have the clock source going into the X and the clocks are advancing until I press one of the pads and then the sequence stops.

Thanks,
Brett

You don't want the pads firing off notes. I imagine those are triggering the MIDI/CV converters, which will conflict with the sequencer.

To control the sequencer gates, you want MIDI channel 15, CCs 64-71.

After playing with it for a short bit, it does not look like I have a way to turn of the notes being sent... Could I then create a custom script to ignore those notes coming in? (or... possibly assign them over to the voltage value on the next 8 - much like i'm doing with the dials/encoders?)

Thanks,
Brett

Yes, just disable the MIDI/CV converters.

I'll take a look at seeing if I can create a custom script and report back.

Thanks,
Brett
