Questions about Trogotronic m666 for harsh noise music

Post by Bataserpa » Wed Jan 03, 2018 7:43 pm

I have the old trogotronic 666 desktop. I love this machine to process junk metal objects with contact mic. Actually I use more as a fx tool than a sound generator.

I am thinking to substitute mine with the 666 eurorack version. It's just less things to carry around for gigs (I have space in my euro case) and besides the cv options looks great to play with this device.

So I have 2 questions:

Is the trogo 666 eurorack version and the desktop similar in sounds side by side?

The desktop version have 3 knobs with stages to change "patches". The euro has the same stage knobs or is it continuoslly to go trough the internal patches? I ask this question because I like the "break" sounds it makes when change patches.

Any opinion will be very welcome. Thanks a lot
