USAMO - clock distro question

Author USAMO - clock distro question

I have a few hardware bits of gear that need stable Midi Clock. USAMO looks like a great solution, but how to distro the clock? I have an iConnectivity Mio 10 and it can route the clock from USAMO directly to other Midi Ports. But... would this reintroduce the clock jitter?

It seems like a hardware thru might work... so long as jitter is a DAW centric artifact.

The mio10 will probably introduce some timing variation but probably not a noticeable amount. You'd have to try it.

If you need multiple MIDI outputs the ESX-8MD is available.

I have an ES-3 mkiii but I don't think that would work... at least not without the ES-5 too. Correct?
os
Yes, you would need the ES-5 too.

In fact the first thing to try might be just an ES-5 with the MIDI adaptor cable (DJ-1000).
