Looks like a few new things. The "smart tempo" could be cool. If I can change the tempo on a patch, and Logic can figure it out, I'll be happy with that.

But I'm not happy that it requires OS 10.12 and higher.

requires 10.12

nice update in it though.

Just upgraded to Sierra and so far pretty painless.
Seems to be faster and it freed about 20gb of disk space somehow.
Not sure if that's a bad thing yet.

Motivation was the inclusion of ARA support in Logic. Something I've been going elsewhere for.

I'll co-sign this. I went from 10.9.5 to 10.12.6, and I haven't had any issues at all. Seems pretty solid, for me at least.

Looks like we still need to wait just a bit more.

Looks like more of the Camel audio acquisition has now been bundled into Logic, nice. (PhatFX for example is/was CamelPhat)
Its a heck of an update actually! Lots of worthy additions and heaps of bug fixes.

As for Sierra, i've had little to no issues with it at all. Im holding off from updating to High Sierra however.

It deleted your porn collection...

But seriously, I may wait to go beyond 10.11.x My Mac is running great, all drivers and hardware are all talking to each other perfectly. I'd hate to update and find out it messed up my essential (money making) software.

But that smart tempo thing...if I see one of you wigglers using Logic, and raving about how it can catch your clock even when you modulate it, I may have to upgrade my Mac OS.

I wish they would revive the Redmatica softwares they killed for no freaking reason...

Redmatica has been a part of MainStage for a while now. The only reason I bought it.

Another thumbs up for macOS 10.12. Sierra is at a stable point for me, but as many others I will hold off from upgrading to High Sierra for now. I've had a successful run upgrading approximately one year after a new macOS release. Slow and steady wins the race. wink

Just downloaded the new Logic update and excited to dig in!

I'd be surprised if there was an upgrade cost for ARA 2.

I hope you are correct but I would be surprised if it isn't a paid upgrade from Celemony seriously, i just don't get it

Does Celemony typically charge for dot upgrades? Their NAMM announcement didn't seem robust enough for a complete version upgrade.
Notron fn
Yeah, Celemony charges for the upgrades. They also have the occasional sale, which would be the time to buy.

But here's hoping.

I'm happy to have these efx back. The swept bandpass filter is always handy.

I didn't have any presets show up -- until I updated some of the sound libraries.
