always loved steel, i'd like to get one someday...i play a bit of bottleneck but have no lap skills, still like to give it a try...

Arg... yer starting the fever over here... Like I need another lust list... however, I've already got the amps..... (Pictures wife clubbing myself with my strat...)

Good video though. I've always like it when other people play it.

Kimock plays the HELL out of a lap steel. I've got a cheap ass plank lap steel to kick around on, but other than "Sleepwalk" I haven't gotten very far with it. But for a $100 guitar, through a $100 Lexicion LXP-1, into an old Supro/National 8" combo amp I got for $50, you can't touch the fun factor :)

I always wanted one of these, finally found one with a good deal about 4 or 5 years back. '94 Dobro Lily of the Valley.

It's got a round neck so it's playable as a standard guitar as well. I got a nut that raises the strings about 1/4" or so, but I don't use it anymore since I like sliding and fretting notes.
