Painting Eurorack Modules

For those aesthetic Eurorack users out there, have you considered painting your whole system including the modules a certain colour?

Is it even possible to nicely repaint say a 104hp 6U system all black or white?

I have a system of that size and the bottom row is all black while the top one is a mix of colours and it just drives me nuts! The cables I am using are only black and white too, I would love to have a matching system. love

I know it is possible by buying modules only from certain companies that offer only black modules but let's skip that discussion!

Anyone agrees or know something/someone that provides a service like that? seriously, i just don't get it

Painting modules sounds like it could go horribly wrong. Maybe look into the paper-face technique

Well, you can just repanel your system*. Get some vector data for your modules' front panels, have them lasered or cut from wood or whatever and paint/print them.

Like this guy:

* if that's a fun way to spend your time razz

Oh yes, that's a lot cheaper and easier I suppose.

Woow the wooden system looks sick! love

Haha yes it definitely sounds quite difficult to achieve. hihi

I was trying to google paper-facing but did not get any results is there like a more general term for it?

That's way cool, but will hurt your resale value.

That would, but this wouldn't!

...or this!

Would be nice to have uniform panels but then I'd want to match the knobs and jacks and get them all to feel the same...
Better off just DIYing from scratch!
