Unique & timeless music! Krautrock is definitely one of many influences at work, but there's so much more (like tribal ambient or whatever you want to call it). --- Outstanding!

You can order the vinyl here:

Bought it and listen to it right now....stunningly beautiful Album.
Lots of cwejman res-4 sounds on it, no?

The Marionette label catalog is so good!
timoka
thanks guys, Marionette is indeed a wonderful label and i'm very happy to be a part of it.

@mdoudoroff kilchhofer has two h...it must be quite difficult for english speakers, quite a variety of spelling mistakes with my name published so far hihi
goiks
congratulations @timoka, looking forward to this!

Listen to 'Skimo' :

Fact Magazine : "It's loping tearjerker of a track, with breathy analog tones gently pealing over shuffling African-influenced percussion. Electronic music rarely sounds quite so sincere and so human"

Aaah, this track is great! Wow. w00t
timoka
some magazines and blogs recently posted full track version of skimo, hedha and trift, so i repost here:

"'Skimo' is the first taste of Kilchhofer's forthcoming debut full-length, The Book Room,
and follows a deliriously good run of EPs. It's loping tearjerker of a track, with breathy
analog tones gently pealing over shuffling African-influenced percussion.
Electronic music rarely sounds quite so sincere and so human."

"There's something earthen and organic about Kilchhofer's detailed soundscapes,
underpinned by a wriggling, almost tribal-influenced rhythm."

resident advisor

"The Book Room', Kilchhofer’s new collection of modular synth jams,
takes us through dreamy panoramas of tropical exotica, alpine warmth
and moonlit glades with plenty of highlights to spare along the way.
Over a monolithic 74 minutes and 20 songs, this ecocentric debut album
demands an immersive, uninterrupted listen."

Timoka, in a couple of words, would you be so kind to reveal the kind of gear you used for this record ? hyper

Thanks !
timoka
thanks duplan for your kind words.
it's maybe 90% modularsynth, the rest mostly madrona labs plugins with the soundplane controller.
some live percussion here and there and custom reaktor instruments i can't let go:) but mainly modular multitracked.
Jaypee
applause
