kebab
it's possible to make noinput mixing with this videomixer?? i try but no good results for me...any suggestions?
FetidEye
I'll ask my VJ colleague, he had one
kebab
thanks!
FetidEye
He could not remember if he did internal feedback with it, but recommended the mixer for all its funky programmable wipes and effects that work well with camera feedback.
(which is also kind of no input if you think about it.)

you can probably bypass input sensor circuit on the videonics
solder/wire in toggle for feedback
and/or direct injecting static
don't have schematics for it
yet have modified multiple old video mixers & broadcast gear
video mixer/gear schematics tend being bitch finding so requires having clue about what you looking at on the pcb
BTW you should be able adding cv input for wipe/fader/mix on mx1
for controlling any functions used by that
with lfo or gate
"modular automated sync"
works with old panasonics
hmm demonic space drone....
that reminds me... sample legend of the overfiend audio

Can't start a new thread due to a new account, so sorry for intruding. Can anyone possibly help me figure out why my camorders output is black and white when running it through a Panasonic MX12?
HighLordFixer
possibly have the service manual for mx12 if you need it...
you are using rca2bnc?
what's the camera output and type of camera?
HighLordFixer
sounds like you camera connection....
or the connector....
that is not getting full sync with mx12
is it showing sync light lit up on mixer?
HighLordFixer
btw that ext camera input is for keying....
make sure you don't plug your camera in that one....
it requires broadcast sync gen from real production camera
and/or external sync gen rack broadcast gear
use A or B
get the sync lighting up green for genlock
from using video input 1 or 2

Ay my dude, I'm using a Panasonic PV-IQ305 and using the A/V out to the mixer. No matter what setup I have, it's black and white. I am using rca-bnc connectors, is that the problem?

Thanks
HighLordFixer
could very well be...
seen that happen with some coax 2 bnc & rca 2 bnc connectors
you can also try running the rca camera into VCR and/or rf modular box first

I have tried running through two different VCR's separately and with them linked, nada. Also tried running it through a amplifier but I'm still not getting color.
HighLordFixer
eye have problems with svideo cable out of computer into rf mod sometimes dropping colour....
then need making sure it is plugged in firm....
you are obviously missing part of your signal somehow
