Im able to make pretty rythmic paterns with set up, but i really want to play notes on my eurorack. How to turn a clock gate signal into a note, I understand certain sequencers allow notes. Anything else i can use to create melodies? thanks. suggestions on modules would be helpful.

Any changing voltage into a sample and hold. Use a quantizer if you notes. Any of the modules based on the Buchla 266.

Yup^
I also use a Ladik keyboard and expander module that takes gate inputs and assigns them to 1V/Oct cv. thumbs up

Spend a bit of time there.

Also, what modules do you currently own? I believe you are talking "notes" as in "writing melodies", right?

Woa! I have to build a set up in modular grid. I'll post in a bit.

Here's a basic charting of one way I apply triggers to notes.
There are lots of other ways.
This one uses pretty common modules.
