Found an old jam of mine where the final mix goes through the Klangbau Tube VCA. Plus sounds from the Wavetable DCO.

Been eyeballing the Twin Peak filter for a long long time. Only reason why haven't ordered one is because it's 60mm deep. Impossible to fit in a travel case.

Just get the twin peak resonator, it’s not as deep.
A pic for size reference:

...Oh.... we're not worthy

Now let's see if the kids have some money in their piggy banks...

I was in Cologne and stopped by KBK --- Willi was super friendly, I snagged a resonator, and I'm loving it (it also survived in my backpack, without a box, for a week while i trekked around europe)

Have been watching & listening to some video's. Amazing! Another incentive to travel to Berlin in a few weeks smile

Slight derail.....does anyone know what suitcase that is that he's using in this pic? I'm looking for a 19" rack compatible suitcase right now and am having trouble finding one slim enough.

Back on topic: my rohren VCAs arrived this afternoon and am about to go check them out. The build looks great and shipping was surprisingly fast from Germany to Georgia.

It's a Thon mixer rack case:

another great alternative:

Thank you very much. That DAP audio slanted case looks absolutely perfect for me but I can't find a vendor willing to ship to the US. hmmm.....

I have two twin peak resonators. One of the best modules I've had the opportunity to work with. Here is something I put together using just one, DLD and some percussion on top.

i would love to hear it, however it's loading since 10 days... smile

here's the embedded track:

you have to remove the "s" from https and shorten the soundcloud link with bitly or something like that if the link is too long.

Thanks for fixing that link for me! lol

I just sent one of my resonators back for some repairs today.
They always acted differently, but I began to suspect one of them was actually wonky when I was trying to really dial in a pseudo 4 voice patch.
It would begin to self oscillate at the 50% resonance point, where as the other would do it around 90-95%. It also had a lot of noise even when RES was at 0%. hmmm.....

Willi was awesome in communication and made sure we tried everything before I actually mailed it over. So far one of the best manufacturer's I've dealt with, really exceptional.

Hey, I thought I'd make a thread for Klangbau Köln discussion,

Wow! Tuesday Night Machines, one of my favorite synth-module demo bands!! Rockin' Banana!
I genuinely love your demos and Klangbau Koln is tops on my wishlist.

Do these modules fit in a Tiptop Mantis case?

Well, I should not have even tried to ship anywhere close to the holidays.
Item was held in Germany for weeks and now it's being sent back to me by DHL, unrepaired and with an ETA of 8 weeks... seriously, i just don't get it
joskery
Oh my, sorry to hear that!

Not to add to the frustration, but I had a problem with a recent order, and Willi was absolutely wonderful in the way he handled the situation. I was pleasantly astounded.

I have a Twin Peak Resonator and a Röhren VCA on their way screaming goo yo

Does anyone know how much mA the Radio music uses, is it same as the Music Thing version?

Anyone own an XR-VCO or a TZ-VCO? I'm curious about the purity of their sinewaves, how the sine-to-ramp waveshaping works on the XR (on his website Willi mentions it as being different from the Thomas Henry design), and how the TZFM on the TZ sounds compared to some of the other analog options out there (Rubicon, Doepfer A-110-4). A pair of these two looks on paper like a really cost and space efficient analog dual complex oscillator option.
