Where can I get premade power cables

Author Where can I get premade power cables

I'm hoping to avoid making my own MTA-156 power cables for the time being, and would like to purchase several of them. I am building several more modules in the near future, and these are pretty much the only thing that I still need.

The only place I've found is blacet.com, but the site seems a bit outdated and frightening to order from. If others have found this to be worry free, then maybe I will try it.

There is also a wiggler offering them on ebay, but they will not respond to me about combining shipping. $18 for shipping six cables within CONUS is quite a rip off!

Are there any other online shops for purchasing these?

Thank you!

Synthcube offers them but they are usually out of stock. The Blacet site may look old but there is nothing to worry about.

Thank you for the response thermionicjunky!

Blacet also has a big cable kit with a crimper. Makes it easy and you can make the exact lengths you need.

I may at some point grab this kit, if my frac endeavors take me further than expected. At this point, I was able to get combined shipping on my requirements. Thanks for the recommendation!

I use All Electronics parts for this; either solder 2 of these together, or extend with colored hookup wire and shrink.

Thank you for the input! Those are the wrong pin spacing for frac though.

Give Phil at Megaohm a try. He doesn't list them on his site but he is known to make them on request.

He's a good guy and fine wiggler! thumbs up

hmmm..... If it's the same seller I just found, the add states:
Shipping - Each additional item
US $3.00 - US $0.75

So it should only be $6.75 for 6 cables? thumbs up

Yup that's me JohnLRice.
Spivkurl and I got it worked out.

Still got some cables left if anyone's interested.

Yep, the cables I got from acidblue have been quality! No problems at all.

Loving this foray into frac! Have built a 2LFOSH, passive ring mod with VC square carrier osc, joystick module with two arcade style buttons, a mult with 2-4 sections and bananas for external interface, and a circuit bent yamaha DD3 module.

It's been an adjustment from my banana work, with the grounding and all, but very rewarding.

This weekend 9/28 to 10/1 you can get my bus cables @Tidie for 10% off.

I'm afraid you're going to have to get one of these This is fun!

https://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/mta-156-series/23914

and this:

https://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/58074-1-tool/10246

Then, not only will you have an unending supply of power cables, you can make them, sell them, and charge a ridiculous amount for shipping. w00t

I'm half-joking, but as an owner of the above, (and the MTA-100 head) it's paid for itself a million times over at this point.
