br>Been loving the graphics decisions on these Schlappi panels. Radio towers on that other one and perfect looking radial grooves on this one. Good typography too. Really pleasing.
They sound fun as hell too. br> br> |

br>This thing is gorgeous!!! Looking and sounding.
Only messed with it for less than an hour, but it sounds amazing, feels great.
Looks like it uses some higher end op amps(OPA)
The panel is beautiful! Love the brushed aluminum.
pairs exceptionally well with WMD PDO! and the DVCA!

Looks very nice, especially next to the evolution
I wonder though, how clean is that sine?
I am looking for an fm modulator and this might be it! br> br> |
|
br>thetwlo |
br>the sine sounds great, which might mean it's not too clean. will try and check.
The module does seem to put off a lot of heat, which is odd. br> br> |

Yes, that's the case when you don't care for fm,
You need the extra bite br> br> |

br>Hi!
I uploaded a rough draft of the manual here:
Angle Grinder Manual
There are some helpful scope shots in there. The sine should be about as clean as is gets (assuming GRIND->SPIN, DAMPING, and FM1 are fully CCW).
It should not be generating a lot of heat! If you have concerns feel free to email me (eric at schlappiengineering.com).
Also I made some angle grinder t-shirts which you can find here
Those pics looks great! It's wonderful to see the grinder in such distinguished company! br> br> |

Eventually, getting Angle Grinder absolutely right has been an all consuming task since Superbooth. I have a few more things to do before i turn to my other prototypes and figure out which one gets the obsessive compulsive polish and release treatment.
The reception to the harmonic pllaser at trade shows has been good but also that in its current form its pretty tweaky to use, i have to work that out first. br> br> |

Good to hear - it certainly looks like you brought what could have been a messy concept into something that is a comprehensive thing with the angle grinder! Gorgeous-looking as well. br> br> |

br>Top notch work, friend
Curious for DIY options as I am a cheap skate - but no less enthusiastic.
+1 for local 48th staters. We need a cool modular shop in town... br> br> |

DIY options are unlikely on this, It is not a minimal design and it was a challenge fitting everything on the back with 0603 smd passives, and several chips are only available in very small packages. I would rather design new things than redesign existing things so I will probably make some DIY only modules to give back to that community
These days I am located in Portland though I have deep love for Tucson (where I lived until recentlly) and a very complicated relationship with Phoenix (where I am from), props to the desert though! br> br> |

br>Modular 8 recently posted up video of a performance I gave in store for the release in October:
The performance is definitely in the drone zone (though I'm happy with it) and my abilities as a public speaker are a bit rough, however videos from people who are much better at explaining things should be coming soonish! br> br> |
