Disting Mk4 playlists

Hi,

I'm having trouble trying to make my disting play single shot samples and was hoping someone could help.

I'm on the 4.8.1 firmware

I've a folder with single shot drum samples named 'Drums', all in .wav format.

I've added a playlist.txt file at root level with the following:

disting playlist v1
-loop=0
-gap=0
-fadeIn=0
-fadeOut=0
-retriggerOnSampleChange=0

However, when I try and play any of the samples from Distings playback alogarythms e.g. I8 I find that they are all on a constant loop.

How would I get them to trigger as single shot? I assumed the above loop=0 should be all I need.

I have also tried listing the wav files but still seem to get a looping playback.

disting playlist v1
-loop=0
-gap=0
-fadeIn=0
-fadeOut=0
-retriggerOnSampleChange=0
Bongo High.wav
Cowbell.wav
Cymbal.wav
Guiro_1.wav
HiHat.wav
Kick.wav
Snare.wav

Any help with what I'm doing wrong would be hugely appreciated.

The playlist needs to be in the same folder as the samples.

Thanks, that was it.

I have some ongoing confusion regarding paylists that I'd like to clear up; specifically regarding algorithm-specific playlists.

First - What are the names of the algorithm-specific files? At some point I stumbled across the info that "playlist-reverse.txt" is the name for algorithm I5's playlist; but I have been unable to find that info again :'/. I see a few "playlist-whatever.txt" files listed in the current documentation but I cannot find most. Does every algorithm have its own playlist type?

Second - I understand that "playlist.txt" can appear either in the root (where it is a list of folders) or in a folder (where it contains settings, filenames, etc.) I'm wondering if the algorithm-specific files also work this way. For instance, I don't want my wavetable folder scanned by the reverse and scrub algorithms; can I achieve this with a list of wavetable folders in "playlist-wavetable.txt" in the root? Or restrict the I5 algorithm to specific folders by listing them in "playlist-reverse.txt" in the root?

There are no algorithm-specific playlists. They were removed in 4.8.

Well that explains a lot. Thanks.
