Cool photo. The EKO ComputeRhythm was one I hadn't seen before; only 15-20 were made. The RMI Harmonic Synthesizer featured additive synthesis and an estimated 150-250 of those were built.

RMI, a division of Allen Organ Company, also made the first portable digital sample player, the "Keyboard Computer" in 1974.

Interesting stuff drift!
I was never a fan of JMJ - my first job was for a "slide tape" audio visual company - long before desktop PCs and webbiness.
JMJ and others like him got used for the sound tracks (copyright, what's that?) so brings back memories of 1 frame per second cross dissolves, soft edge masks, and stentorian voice overs!
