The new Naxal Protocol tape/digital download release is now available:
Topologies of Absence from Format Noise label.

Description from the label:

<<Written during the second half of 2017, this is unambiguously the most mature release of industrial power electronics outfit Naxal Protocol. Arguably, it is also the harshest. Brought to you by the personnel behind 1990s Italian rhythmic power electronics cult act Cazzodio and half of the critically acclaimed Italo-Nippon old school industrial outfit CazzoKraft, this tape adopts a gangrenous acousmatic approach to build maximalist noisescapes with feedback loops, subtly rhythmic modular synthesis, rusted metal loops, and heavily processed field recordings. Inspired by the bleak materiality of dystopian nightmares suddenly becoming real, Naxal Protocol avoids the pretense of pseudo-conceptual anti-art, but also the boneheaded naiveté of copycat power electronics. This is a project rooted in cerebral viscerality, aimed at those who are aware that clinging to factual reality while enjoying virgin flesh is in itself the supreme act of defiance. A perverted message reasserting life as an experiment in excess. >>

Awesome work! Very nice textures and atmosphere.

Did you use the 4ms DLD here too? How do you like for looping? I am asking because I play harsh noise with modular and someone close to my city is selling this module for a nice price, but I am still in doubt if it can be useful for the kind of sounds I make.

Thanks, and yeah, lots of DLD here. For instance, the junk metal at the beginning of the second side is an example of its use as a stereo looper. The clock is (by design of the module) the same, but the loop lengths are different in L and R, so that the junk moves from side to side.

I think it’s the best looper I have. Very useful esp. if you aim at subtly rhythmic, structured power electronics, as you can keep everything synced. But I can imagine other uses where very clean looping comes handy (e.g., use it as some weird oscillator by feeding it a drone, loop it, and then send the output to wave folder or filter etc). Iirc that’s how I made the crunchy stuff in the high end on the second track of side A (from minute 15 on).

Thanks a lot for all the detailed info. After what you explained definetly DLD will be a nice addition for my euro noise machine. Please keep making sounds and post here, I really admire your works.

All the best.
