I'm planning on doing a Frac or maybe even a 19" panel with one MPS, one CGS Cynare, and a CGS Dual Drum.
I think/hope that will have me mostly/completely sorted out for modular percussion...

I've been following that thread. So tempting! That, a CGS Cynare, and a Metalbox 8008 would make a sick drum kit.

eek! What an fab device!
I just read through that thread, and I'm afraid I'd end up wanting 4 or 6 of them... which means even Tom Bugs' tiny gorgeous panels would be facing a bit of a space issue in my portable rig... :-(

I personally think the MPS is the most flexible of all the drum synth modules I've seen, and I think flexibility should be key in a modular rig.

True, true, but at 19-22 knobs I don't think I can afford the panel space for more than one.
At least not until I get some backlog cleared out and really know just how monstrous the system is going to be.

Some people say they are ordering 8 of them.
Those folks must have tons of studio space.

This Bass ++ Drum Voice looks pretty sweet too.

If a pcb were to become available it might even trump the 8008.

I think these UD-1 boards and kits are still available too.

i think it's pretty cool but the 8008 and CGS stuff is enough for my tastes.

cheers to whoever takes these on though!

I snatched up 2 SlayerBadger!

I was originally planning a whole percussion synth out of these, but again at 19-22 knobs a pop I thought it was overkill for making simple sounds. Now I'm going for a compact setup of dedicated drum modules with these as the icing on the cake Guinness ftw!

I'd certainly agree on the power vs panel space -- I don't keep the MPS in my main case (the portable case), but the power is amazing!
Great to see it out now!
