I listened to Dieselboy constantly when driving between Phoenix and Sedona back in 2009 working in film industry.

His tracks have so many interesting sounds I have not heard many artists use before.

Are there any more artists like him? Or his "sound"
Cybananna
Dieselboy is great. I always liked his sounds too.

6th session was the soundtrack to spring semester in my first year of college

ass soon as that kemal and rob data track comes in--oomph!

I'm from the UK, sounds like fairly normal drum and bass to me. Never heard before and only just flicked through (apologies if that sounds rude!)

Think this is techstep style - check out No U-Turn (Ed Rush and crew) and Dom and Roland for similar vibes. Andy C/ Grooverider productions and DJ sets too. 90s stuff.
Haven't listed to much DnB since mid 90s but still fond of early No U-Turn, DJ Hype and jungle music

+1

I would add Renegade Hardware / Trouble on Vinyl to this list and maybe Bad Company.

If you are into drum and bass w good sound design definitely check out the autonomic stuff, and some of the records from the samurai camp.

I agree his music is a bit dated but hell it might be Nostalgia but I really do like that 90s to early 2000s EDM scene.
lud
It's drum and bass not EDM (whatever that is..)

Not sure if dnb is dated, suppose it is. One thing for sure most of it sounds eerily familiar

Funny, I've been having a little bit of nostalgia for 90's drum and bass lately.

This one was always my favorite of his:

I knew nothing about Dieselboy (or drum & bass, really) before I heard The Dungeonmaster's Guide. Being a long-time D&D player, I had to buy that album when I saw it in the store, and I wasn't disappointed!

I've listened to some of his other mixes on Youtube, I think The Destroyer is my favorite of those I've heard.

When i hear Dieselyboy, Technical Itch comes to mind.
Of course, all the other veterans quoted above (Dom & Roland, Bad Company and also most the darker and edgier releases of Moving Shadow label)
If you want to go more abstract (but with a very punchy sound), check Current Value.

Aaaah, i didn't listen to jungle/d'n'b for a couple of years, and now i'm back crate digging Jonny L, Current Value, Ed Rush & Optical, Decoder and the Virus & Ram rec golden era smile

If you remove the Bowie sample, "Can't punish me" is not far off Dieselboy imho :

... and "Thunder" is also amazing :

Tech Itch and Decoder was closely related back in the days... But Decoder is more polite, with Lalo Schifrin samples :

You might also like the Renegade Hardware recordings (i don't like everything, but some tracks are killers in a mix) :
