| br>Hi hackers of MW.
My goal is to create a little bash/perl/Mac OS util that would convert the TR-09 pattern files in (text) .PRM format to BIN files readable by the Roland TR-909 plugin. I'd like to convert a lot of patterns that I created and backed up from the TR-09. I also think it would help others in the same situation it would be totally freeware. I'm not sure why roland didn't include this function in the plugin already.
I tried to make sense of the BIN files by looking at the content in a hex editor but I couldn't really see a pattern. For example, I tried to save an empty bank and a bank with one pattern. Everything was the same in the two files except for a few lines. Maybe those were the lines with the pattern?
Does anyone know how to infer a "pattern" from the content of the binary file?
Sorry if this was already discussed. br> br>
