Simple little Tale-Chasing Klee Vid; Patch walk-thru

Post by Dcramer » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:45 pm

Here's a video walk-thru of a simple little Klee patch based on a Tale-chasing, generative feedback loop of gates/triggers.
I became very curious about what a Klee driven trio of synth voices would sound like playing contrapuntal chamber music so I figured out a way to have three different function generators send a master clock to the Klee sequencer which in turn fires off the function generators.
Even though their shapes are always changing, the Klee sequencer won't advance until all the envelopes are settling.

Cheers

That comparator trick is just what I've been looking for. :tu:

Nice work (as always). I really love the way you document your patches, super inspiring.

I recently built a Klee and am having fun learning it.

Thanks guys!
Yes the Klee is infinitely inspiring. I’ve become fascinated by the way musical patterns blend from one to the other as you swap gate patterns being input to the random ins.

Wow - this is excellent!

I don't have a Klee sadly - but I am thinking that I could use the comparator / tail-chasing envelopes part of the patch, maybe to clock Pamela's New Workout to provide the 8 sets of triggers to the A-152 sequential switch, and to clock my A155 and two pittsburgh sequencers - summed / subtracted in various ways, maybe with a smidgeon of random voltage thrown in, then sent to the three quantizers and on to the VCOs...
Your patch is certainly giving me ideas anyway!
