||Your year in retrospect. How did you do?
| br>Can we just do a brief summary of what we accomplished in 2018?
Other major events in our musical lives?
Me myself have just been staying in touch with one or two gigs/month. I started a new band and did a prostitution gig (playing covers) for the local greasers. I haven’t really finished much, and this is the only song that was published on soundcloud: [s]http://soundcloud.com/grubbe-allstars/allt-ska-vi-branna[/s]. br> br>
| br>No gigs and no big events for me. I got done with expanding my eurorack case though, I guess that’s a big deal in these circles.
I finalised and released 12 tracks in total, a few less than my goal. I got about 21 000 plays on Soundcloud. That’s something too.
This has been my most popular track by far:
And I like it too. Melodic, playful, good beat, nice sound. br> br>
| br>I sold some stuff, but for the stuff that wasn't in my studio setup and I didn't want to sell, I made a desk for my living room setup.
I expanded our modular system and filled the last gap in my non modular setup with a Novation Peak.
Got a TR-8s to replace the TR-8
I am very happy with the configuration I now have in my studio.
Recorded a lot of ideas that have to be worked out and the album I want to make for years is becoming more specific now.
The most important thing: I had a lot of fun in my studio. br> br>
| br>Can’t argue with that!

| br>My biggest musical thing in 2018 was rebuilding my studio, including buying my first ever proper keyboard rack after 30 plus years! I also bought 2 "proper" 19" racks to replace my homemade ones which were full, extended my AE modular synth and bought a couple of bits of new gear. All this and completed 13 pieces of music so very happy! If not enjoying shouldn't be doing.... br> br>

One, the first part in a multi-release dystopian sci fi story. You can find it here, https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/plisskensglider
Writing songs for 2-3 releases in 2019.
One. Would like to play out more.

Saw some amazing bands in 2018. Bought some gear. Had some laughs. br> br>
| br>Looking back I think it was a pretty great year!
Three live appearances a a local synth “open mic” night (Freq Boutique Denver, CO, hosted by WMD, livestreams available on YouTube).
Was included on the Pattern//Select Ambient compilation “Cascade Effects”: https://patternselect.bandcamp.com/album/cascade-effects-i
Produced around 60 YouTube vids with either piece performances, or “jams”, or stupid little demonstrations.
Posted maybe a dozen tunes/demos, etc to SoundCloud (I hate SC’s time limitations. So stingy, even if you’re paying for an account):
Bought a Buchla Skylab near the end of the year. W00t!
