FH-2 not detecting Roli Seaboard Block

Hello! So I've hit a wall with attempting to troubleshoot this and I cannot figure out what the problem is.

The FH-2 is not detecting the Roli Seaboard Block. I have the Roli configured in single channel mono mode communicating on MIDI ch1. The FH-2 is also successfully configured to be listening on MIDI ch1 in mono mode. When I patch the usb from the Roli directly to the FH-2 it doesn't work.

I can confirm that the Roli is sending the correct MIDI messages through a MaxMSP MIDI tester. I can also confirm the FH-2 is listening for the correct MIDI messages by routing the MIDI through my computer to the FH-2. However I get nothing when directly patching the Roli to the FH-2.

Here is a video demo of the issue.

Thanks & Happy New Year!

The 'A' isn't showing up on the FH-2's screen; seems it's not enumerating. How do you have the jumper set for powering the Roli? Maybe try switching the jumper to see if it's power related?

Just tried both jumper positions and still nothing :(
Could it be that my power supply is not sufficient? I'm using the 4ms Row Power 30 and tried it with only powering the FH-2.

Also, the Roli has an internal battery, so this shouldn't be an issue if it's charged, right?

Thanks for your help.

Ah! dang... so I think I just got to the bottom of it...
Pretty sure my USB A jack is broken. I'm getting an intermittent connection.

It randomly started working at one point, then a slight tap on the USB plug and the connection is lost.

I've tried 3 different USB cables with the same result.
So frustrating because I just got this new and I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue for days!

Here are a few video demos with different cables:
