Plankton Electronics SPICE VCF

Post by plankton » Sat Jan 26, 2019 8:43 am

SPICE VCF is a Voltage Controlled Filter based on the SPICE (incoming) one but in eurorack version only.

1 input and 3 individual outputs for High Pass, Band Pass and Low Pass.

CV inputs for Cutoff and Resonance.

Resonance system based on the SEM VCF one. It's capable of A controlled super round and nice resonance. With a bit of modulation this unit will make to talk your sawtooth wave.

The XMOD potentiometer sends the BP output the CV Cutoff input adding some distortion and a variety of resonance effects to the processed sound.

V/OCT cutoff input.

6HP / Depth: 34mm / Power: 15mA@12V 12mA@-12V

Awesome. Sounds great.

Is the peak resonance gain compensated?

Also, what is the filter order for each output?

There's a kickstarter campaign with this module and some others going on, if anyone's wondering.

Backed it, hope they'll reach the goal.

What range does the 1v/oct track accurately?

Hey y'all, I found the user manual, but not the build documentation manual.
Anyone have the pulse on that?
:help: :sadbanana: :despair:

Are there any more details about this module? The filter architecture and how many poles?

I think it's a 12db/Oct design, given the various outputs and the mention of SEM.
I've had mine for a few weeks, but not had much time to play in depth. I can try to get some demos up if that's any good to you?
